Manifesto Research
The word for this manifesto is just excellent!
A manifesto which describes all the things how Apple works, and their intentions to deliver good products. When we first saw this manifesto, we just looked at the meaning of the words and the message that Apple wanted to transmit, which basically is how the company designs and evaluates things to come up with a better product and a better design for all different types of people around the world. We saw and reviewed the manifesto more than once, and noticed the simplicity of design that they used, which it reflects the simplicity in their products. The message truly comes out when they represent it with the word "Joy" when you have couple of balls that hit each other like, similar to when people meet each other. The transition between one animation to the other, is simply great especially when you have a circle which changes in a line and then in a flat circle to introduce type again. |
Another important thing is the sound and feeling for every sentence. For every action from the animation there is a reaction which is the sound that makes the whole manifesto more understandable.
A design to transmit a message does not have to be complicated if we take this example here we can see that by simple shapes, simple sound and music added with good animation you can deliver the right message through all the nations and humankind. |
Bacardi, was always a source of connecting people together in a fun environment where they can chat, laugh and having fun together as a society. The story of the Bacardi manifesto starts from the creation of humanity where there were two types of humans.
The story describes how these two evolved, but there were major differences. On one side we have the Neanderthals, who "had bigger brains, better tools and better hair" but lacked communication with each other. On the other side we have Homo Sapiens who, thanks to communication, "they flourished, did things together, become friends and had love". The manifesto then talks about some things that in life makes us lazy and communicate less with each other, so the video emphasize to destroy all these things and enjoy each other, "stay together and add cola, lime and Bacardi" with our friends so to enjoy more ourselves. With the intelligence of the human they created a “friend” who helped them to be together and to communicate, thanks to Bacardi. (The manifesto slogan “Bacardi Together”) The Bacardi manifesto is not written or in a form of a book but it is a video made with several forms, in this video we can se that to describe the story they had used different media animation, actual 3D objects and video filming, were with all these media they created a balanced video manifesto. A thing that I like in this video is the colour they used which remembers me in pop art and the hummer in the hole video to deliver a fun manifesto that defers from the traditional type posters or books. |
the message which are video (animation, filming, ect.) and sound which is the strongest communication in this manifesto, I am saying this because in the first shots of the video there is not that much communication (remember we are imagining that the manifesto is with out sound) is from the transition of the prehistoric people to now a days were you get rid about what the video is trying to say and than when it brings the image of Bacardi you will understand more what is about because there are some text like “Bacardi Together”. So a manifesto is not a good one if there is no text or sound (voice), which is describing what, is happening because the main aim of your manifesto is to deliver/say your massage.

Concepts & Ideas
During development of the manifesto, we had a lot of different ideas such as projection on bottles, creating a small game from broken bottles as well as illuminating bottles. After much discussion, brain storming as well as a few meals, at first we came up with a box that opens up with a light bulb in the middle, and on each panel it would show the points of our manifesto. Our Beliefs
From the experience of the projection mapping, we learned a great deal number of things such as how to work in big groups, accepting criticism, having to push through our boundaries and so on. One element that kept happening throughout the whole project was adjusting to people, changes, situations, problems and so on. Thus, we decided to incorporate this idea for the points that we wanted to pass forward to whoever will experience our Manifesto.
Our Points
Our Points
- Great accomplishments lie in rising every time we fall.
- Let loose your imagination for ideas. Tight clothes are against the dress code.
- Stuck for an idea? Switch off that laptop and start up your brain.
- Adjusting your perspective is adapting to change.
- Patience is a virtue, even when dealing with Comic Sans.
- Feed your ideas...accept criticism and make them grow stronger.
- Access to the tools for better adjustment.
- Together we meet, discuss, adjust and create: greatness.
