Box by Bot and Dolly
The box focuses on two important aspects, real and digital space. By using projection mapping it reveals moving objects and surfaces in depth. This short film is a live performance all taken by camera.
I personally think that they both captured the artistic and technical side from this performance.
“We believe this methodology has tremendous potential to radically transform theatrical presentations, and define new genres of expression.”
This short film consists of:
· Large-scale robotics
· Projection mapping
· Software engineering
White light was also present in canvas and also behind the robots (silhouettes) to show that they were controlling the canvas.
In my opinion this was a neat and simple projection which definitely kept my interest in watching the whole video. Different shapes, form and sizes were used in different ways that keep the audience wowed i.e Less is more...

Ralph Lauren 4D Experience
This is one of the best projection mappings I’ve seen whilst doing research. "Ralph Lauren" presents the ultimate mixture of art, fashion & technology in one whole projection.
The effects include a vision of the company’s signature i.e. polo players, a giant horse-head belt wrapping the building and a lineup of vast neckties.
This projection mapping was very influential to write a script and creating a storyboard. Not only was the project a success but also Ralph Lauren made very good use of the architecture. The architecture of the building was used constantly throughout the whole show. They made you feel as if you really are inside the building since "augmented reality” project is used.
“We put our hearts and souls into this”
Ralph Lauren
The sound and light was created by superimposing optical effects and pinpointed pixels of light over a projected 3-D replica of the building. This was a sensory experience that completed the show with sound and even a mist of fragrance in the end.

Projection Mapping on a bottle
I was researching other types of projection mapping rather than architectural ones and I came across with this one. This was a projection mapping experiment using materials such as cardboard and a bottle.
This link shows many other works from the same creators 'The Light Factory' of the video shown above: http://thelightfactory.fr/about/
Light was the main element for this whole projection in this case physics was greatly used. Light was shown in different areas to make the bottle realistic by showing shadows. Reflection and depth made the whole experience real.
Simple lines, colours such as white, blue and green, circles and typed written elements were used which brought up the experiment more interesting to watch.
