We could create a short fast animation where we would show what our concept is all about. We should create a storyboard looking animation, where we would show the whole process from brain storming, to sketching, to the final development of the artwork on the computer's screen. We could also use this concept to promote the gaming course, by showing a making of animation of a tablet's game application, where one could start by sketching characters, and planning the layout, game ect, to designing layouts and characters on the computer, and then programming the game, and the game's being played on tablets at people's home. This would also be a good idea that we create an animation by showing the creation of paper to screen's logo creation as a concept for the animation, finishing with the final logo displaying on a monitor, following by the exhibition's details. |
My Promotional IdeasIdea 1: Facebook Competition
Concept: Trivia For example week 1's question would be: How many courses are there available at the MCAST Institute of art and design? Price: A person who's answer is correct will be picked up by a random number generator, and will win a goodie bag. Week's 2 question could be: Mention all the courses found at the institute of Art and Design. And the same procedure as week one will take place. Like this, people would find the competition easy, since all they need to do is visit MCAST's website or MCAST Art and Design facebook page to gather information. Like this they would get to know about our college, and about our exhibition. Price Pick Up Date: The pick up date would be from Mcast Art & Design Institute, during the exhibition week, so that more people will be encouraged to visit our exhibition. Idea 2: Facebook Sharing Competition We should create a post with our poster, and we will ask people to share the post. And at the end of each week, One of those who shared the post and made it public will win something. Like this, a lot of people would have shared our exhibition's poster. Idea 3: Selfie Competition / Photo Competition (Theme per week) The most creative selfie of the week/month will win. This would be 50% People's voting with likes ( So that people will ask others to like our page), and 50% jury, which will be our class. We should create a poll in our facebook group which is private, and by the deadline set, the one we vote most for will win. Idea 4: Sports Day We could create a simple sports day at our school. Where one would create simple games such as football, tug of war, potatoes race, volley ball and so on. Each team that wins will get a 5 euro voucher, which could be spent at our next fundraiser Idea 5: Viral video / Video Clip Various Videos could be shared on-line. Funny videos, or videos related to the exhibition it self. They should always end with paper to screen's logo, and exhibition details. Also an animation playing with the logo only, and then revealing the exhibition's details could be created and shared on Facebook. Making of / Teasers of the exhibition should be filmed and edited, and then placed on facebook to get the audience to see little shots from the students' works, to encourage them to come visit the exhibition. We can create something similar to below's video, but it should be consistent with our brand guidelines, and shots changing from one course to another such as interactive media, graphic design ect. Viral InspirationIdea 6: Application for mobiles, tablets, computers (and display stands in public places?) We should create a simple application such as cross word with different creative words, or a simple game such as a collect 50 coins to finish the game, or something similar which is really simple. When the game is finished, the exhibition details will be relieved. We could also create a display stand in Valletta for example, where one or two of us should stay with it for security reasons, where people can play the game and see the details. This could also be filmed, and placed as a video on facebook later on. Idea 7: "Business Cards" / Scratching Invitation
We could create a small business card, but we should place on it the logo, and exhibition details. This would be a scratch card, since most people love scratching cards. Once they scratch it, they would find the exhibition details, that 99% the are likely to read, after taking interest to scratch the card. This would be an invitation for them to visit our exhibition.
