I believe this projection is a perfect example to show how projecting on a subject can trick the eye through the illusions one can create, in this case bringing life to paper. It has no use of colour but through the shadows created and depth it seemed more believable. This isn’t an ordinary projection since with the paper cutouts and back lighting the artist managed to create something totally new. Since black cannot be projected he used the silhouette principle and back projected film footage, which gave it a whole new dimension. Ultimately you notice that the only object created is the character apart from that it’s all shadings and shadows.
