Written by Karl Marx and Fredrich Engels in 1848 and was published in London in 1914. This manifesto was first written in German, however, it was translated to English, Russian and French to broaden the target audience.
The purpose of this manifesto was to explain the notion of Communism and to explain how the world was changing and that the era of imperial reign was coming to an end. Marx also evaluates different classes of society, dividing them into two major categories, namely the 'bourgeoise' and the 'proletariat'. He goes on by saying the capitalism is one of the main problems that causes class rivalry and struggles in the lower classes.
This is were the whole idea of Communism cropped up. The main idea was (and still is?!) to eliminate the idea of class systems and unite to create a blanced society were everyone works hard, but lives comfortably.
