This is the most refined projection mapping I have ever seen. The directors began by covering two cars with white cloth. This was done so that they could be able to project the projection mapping on them. The first effect that they used was the viewer could see the process and how the car manufactures design the shape of a car on a computer using 3D effects. The 3D effects used in this projection mapping included a lot of line drawing, which gave the viewer the impression of comfort for the passengers of the car. It was also interesting the fact that it gave the viewer the illusion of being in car manufacturer plant where one could see tyres being tested by means of machinery as well as how cars are formed. One could also see the diverse textures that the directors incorporated to show how the metal sheet is fixed on cars. Afterwards, the viewers are able to see the application of paint on the cars in a liquid format, which is clear enough for the viewer to notice that it is paint. This projection mapping shows a lot of natural elements on the car through illusion such as snow and trees. | for the viewer to notice that it is paint. This projection mapping shows a lot of natural elements on the car through illusion such as snow and trees. The scene that was of great interest for me in this projection was the way in which the directors changed the viewers’ focus from one car to another. Also, in an exceptional way, by changing the light focus as well as the camera’s dimension, the directors were able to give the impression that the car was moving where in fact the projection moved to the other car. In fact one can see how in an exceptional way the directors incorporated the different elements of nature with the driving of the car, which sort of persuades the individuals that this is the best car for them since it can withstand all the different elements. Personally, I would not change anything from this projection mapping since it makes use forms and textures, which makes it outstanding. |
