Omicron is a permanent installation directed by Romain Tardy and Thomas Vaquie. This 3D projection was created for the new museum of architecture of Hala Stulecia, in Wroclaw, Poland. The idea behind Omicron was to create a link between the history of the building and the present times by transforming the massive structure into a living piece.
The impressive projection was projected onto the 65 m diameter dome the largest reinforced concrete structure in the world. The idea was to take a minimalistic approach to the design using every piece of the structure itself . The lighting effects and music give it a futuristic feel almost electronic and alien. It gave the structure life without to much overcrowded imagery and thus creating a marvelous projection.
